Earlier today, DELL EMC introduced the latest All-Flash offering in the VMAX All-Flash family. Now with three distinct models- the VMAX 250F, the VMAX 450F, and the VMAX 850F, the VMAX All Flash Arrays all share the trusted Dynamic Virtual Matrix architecture and HYPERMAX OS. The VMAX All-Flash products are specifically architected to meet the storage capacity and performance requirements of the All Flash Enterprise Data Center. The VMAX All Flash products are feature-rich All Flash offerings with specific capabilities designed to take advantage of the new higher capacity flash drives used in the densest configuration possible. The VMAX All Flash Arrays offer enterprise customers the trusted VMAX data services, the improved simplicity, capacity, and performance which their highly virtualized environments demand, while still meeting the economics of the more traditional storage workloads.

While the VMAX 250F was introduced October 10th, I was able to get a preview of the technology back at VMWorld 2016. I sat down in a highly secure room with Scott Delandy (@ScottDelandy) and Melissa Gurney (@SolutionGeek) to get the details.

EMC The Source Episode 46 Sam Marraccini Chris RatcliffeEMC World 2016 has traditionally provided an opportunity for EMCs business units to showcase the latest and greatest.  If the introduction of XtremIO, the Beast, in 2015 was the start, EMC World 2016 completes a full refresh of EMC Core Technologies portfolio.  Actually, much more than a refresh.  I sat down with Core Technologies SVP, Chris Ratcliffe (@ceratcliffe) at EMC World to get the details of everything Core Technologies.

Chris was more than happy to provide some insight into what happens behind the scenes of EMC World.  New product announcements included Enterprise Copy Data Management, Data Domain Virtual edition and, of course, EMC Unity.  We also talked EMC World Solutions Pavilion Modern Datacenter.
